If you need an excuse to buy a plane ticket and jet off to an elite destination surrounded by emerald green foliage, luminous waters and five-star service, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita has one. The sprawling Riviera Nayarit resort recently announced its multi-million dollar renovation that will transform its spa, pool and two of its most luxurious suites. Set for a November completion, this oceanfront paradise is about to get even better.
For those that often opt for the top accommodations, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita’s Sol and Luna Suites will stun. The two suites, that are already a few of the most luxurious stays at the resort, will be completely reimagined and expanded. The Sol Suite, that’s set upon a private clifftop, will double in size to 7,000 square feet and will feature five ocean-front bedrooms. The 5,000-square-foot Luna Suite will include four bedrooms and a new private infinity pool. Both rooms will feature Mexican-inspired decor, sweeping private terraces, multiple luxurious indoor and outdoor living spaces, and of course plenty of panoramic ocean views. The fresh upgrades to Sol and Luna will set you back $9,000+ and $7,000+ per night, respectively.
Even guests who don’t book the two suites will be able to take advantage of the renovations by heading to the completely redesigned and expanded Apuane spa that will draw inspiration from surrounding Punta Mita and the region’s native Huichol Indians. Led by Kollin Altomare Architects and interior designer, Anderson Miller, the new sanctuary-inspired spa will receive two new treatment rooms along with expanding its current 13 treatment rooms. A new, private Apuane suite will feature a secluded courtyard, ideal for romantic retreats, girl’s getaways and bridal showers. Brides will also find a separate bridal area in the newly expanded beauty salon. A courtyard centered around a fountain and reflexology pool will serve as an ideal relaxation spot with a shaded palapa and plenty of indigenous foliage, while an array of hydrotherapy amenities—like hot and cold pools, therapeutic ice fountains, cold showers and eucalyptus steam rooms and saunas—will entice guests. Full service changing rooms for men and women with full amenities and enhanced fitness facilities and new classes round out the wellness amenities. Guests will also find the new reception area filled with Mexican-inspired artifacts and stocked with products from Dr. Hauschka Skin Care and Hydropeptide, experts in natural and restorative skin care.
Outdoors, the adults-only Tamai pool will be transformed by designer Victor Jimenez of Studio 365, who will create a contemporary style using organic materials and the work of local Mexican artisans. In between sipping seasonal cocktails at the pool bar or indulging at the restaurant, guests can sprawl out in seven private cabanas or lounge in chic hanging chairs, on plush sunbeds or under palm-roofed palapas, all made from natural materials and Kravet fabrics, sourced from an exclusive collection created for the Museum of Mexico.
“Infused with the heart and soul of Punta Mita, our reimagined spa and redesigned luxury suites along with our additional resort enhancements all serve a singular purpose—to provide our guests with soulful spaces and experiences that will envelop them in the magic of the oceanfront address,” said John O’Sullivan, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. “Inspired by our picturesque white sand beaches, the turquoise waters of the Bay of Banderas, and the colorful culture and energy of the native Huichol people, the new Apuane Spa will serve as both a sanctuary of relaxation and a refuge for total rejuvenation.”
