Conrad Playa Mita is set to open this winter and will be the second property in Mexico from the brand.
Just 45 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport, the resort will reopen in the former La Tranquila Resort in Punta de Mita after a multi-million dollar investment will transform it. Elements of the new resort will include open corridors, contemporary and coastal decor and lush landscaping. All guest rooms will be just steps from the beach and will feature ocean views and balconies.
Amenities will include seven restaurant and bar options, three pools, a spa with indoor-outdoor treatment areas and a salon and temazcal, and plenty of event space. There will be more than 45,000 square feet of combined function space including more than 30,000 square feet of outdoor event space with beach frontage, a 10,000-square-foot ballroom and 3,000 square feet of breakout rooms, each with terraces.
Conrad Playa Mita’s location in the gated community of Litibu will allow guests to have easy access to the Greg Norman signature 18-hole golf course, state-of-the-art tennis courts, a spa, relaxing pool and a wide array of dining options featuring fresh regional and international cuisine. It will also offer access to nearby outdoor activities like surfing, paddle boarding, scuba diving, whale watching, horseback riding, mountain biking, zip lining and hiking through the Sierra Madre Mountains. The resort will provide convenient access to Punta de Mita and the bohemian town of Sayulita, as well as the Puerto Vallarta International Airport.
Conrad Playa Mita will be co-developed by HRV Hotel Partners and Contact Develpment Company and designed by SB Architects, EDSA, Arquitectura de Interiores and Grupo Dovela.
