Tulum has become one of the hottest beaches to visit in Mexico. The vibe, the food, the turquoise sea and the amazing resorts make it the perfect escape for any time of the year. In recent statements the Mexican government assured the airport will be one of the biggest projects to come.
The upcoming International Tulum Airport will be built by the Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA). 75 military engineers have already headed to the Caribbean to start the construction of this airport. The Cancun airport cannot take more flights since it is the base for people traveling to Tulum, Playa del Carmen and the whole Mayan Riviera. The airport will be a great solution for all the people traveling to Tulum since it will have many international and direct flights.
The airport has an estimated date of inauguration in 2023.
