How was INKU Tulum created?
From the moment I first visited, I fell in love with Tulum. It has the Caribbean sea, Mexican culture & food, modern & live music venues, holistic communities, while also having amazing wildlife & jungles to explore. INKU was created from the vision my business partner and I had of making something both beautiful and respectful to what Tulum represents —while also putting a unique take on what we believe is best for those that want to visit or stay long-term—. We wanted it to feel and actually be a new home away from home. Like a bird finding a new place to build a nest. Thus, the name of INKU, meaning “my nest” in Mayan language, came to be.
What makes INKU Tulum stand out from other luxury living properties in Tulum?
INKU is the leader in concierge services. INKU offers more in all areas, with very generous private living and community spaces, high quality materials, and a unique experience that is truly luxury. A concierge that is available 24/7 for all your needs, such as ordering food or scheduling a private chef, private masseuse, reservations at the best restaurants and beach clubs, and private drivers that can take you to/from the airport or anywhere you need to go when available. INKU is your nest – a place you can relax and settle into with a unique luxury experience.
How would you describe INKU Tulum architectural style?
First, you could say that INKU is very much a “Tulum” style property —which is unique in itself – but, we further differentiate by creating a property that is respectful to local history and as much a part of the jungle landscape as the Mayan Ruins themselves. Built in the jungle, with hieroglyphics, many waterfalls, fire pits, real local stone and wood – the property is distinctively its own while unmistakably Tulum.
How is INKU Tulum social and environmentally responsible?
INKU Tulum is socially and environmentally responsible by employing locally, sourcing local and sustainable materials to ensure the property is respectful to the area while also being inclusive. We also sponsor local organizations, like the Brightstar soccer team (still proudly undefeated) to ensure we are giving back to the community.
