Christina Lyon is the Artistic Director and Founder of Gala de Danza, Cabo San Lucas’ annual event that brings together the world’s most elite artists with young, talented dancers. Lyon herself has had great success with her dance career that started at age 12. She has studied with some of the world’s top dancers and toured with some of the most prestigious ballet companies including American Ballet Theatre. Now, she spends her time working to bring awareness to the arts and culture world and providing opportunities to young dancers. City you live in: I live in the sky. I’m always traveling for work, scouting dancers from around the world. I reside in Newport Beach, London is where my heart is, New York is where I get energized and Cabo is where the Gala is and that is where my passion is
My favorite thing about London is… a proper cup of tea and honey as well as the formality of European culture and the sophistication of this cosmopolitan city
A typical day in my life includes… packing and unpacking

I’m listening to… classical music and also enjoy a bit of everything
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Diaghilev because he was the first ballet impresario and I wish to advocate for artists much like he did
One thing I cannot live without… honey
When I was younger, I wanted to be… always a ballerina, but I wanted to change the way people view the arts and to bring glamour back to that
I’m inspired by… talent and creativity
The one person who motivates me is… my Gala de Danza team
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… for people to understand and support the arts. I think we would have a deeper appreciation of what joy and happiness could bring to our lives
The perfect day would be… sharing it with friends and loved ones
My first job… was a dancer in a Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson
My favorite escape… Los Cabos of course!
My life… is a dream. I’m doing what I love and there is nothing that could bring more happiness than fulfilling your passion
