“The best way to observe is by forming part of what you are observing. If your space forms part of a landscape, it will expand to the outer limits of your gaze; that is how architecture can become a vital experience,” says Miguel Ángel Aragonés, the architect behind the brand new Mar Adentro, the second luxury resort from Grupo Encanto, set to open in December. Aragonés’ focus on creating harmony in all of his projects is easily reflected throughout Mar Adentro. A simple and minimalistic design is the star of this seaside stunner as the property melds with the surrounding landscape and the pool stretches into the horizon.
The aesthetically pleasing 143-suite five-star resort is located in San José del Cabo and will be the first property in Mexico to form part of the Autograph Collection by Marriott. The hotel also features 60 private residences and 18 estates. The houses and rooms were designed as floating boxes, intended to maximize sea views and desert landscapes and the hotel is tailor-furnished by the Italian brand Poliform who is well-known for its craftsmanship and use of lines. A private swimming pool, an interactive and digital service panel, and individual coffee and tea room service complement each guest room.
The residences include three and five-bedroom estates that are located on the lower two platforms to ensure ultimate privacy. Six-block compounds make up the apartments and range from one to four-bedroom offerings, by linking and joining separate modules.
