Chef Liana Hernandez’s efforts stretch much further than the kitchen walls at Tenangos, an authentic Mexican restaurant located at The Shoppes at Palmilla. In an attempt to name her restaurant something that would truly represent everything it stands for, Chef Liana proved successful.
A “Tenango” is a specific type of embroidery that was developed by the Otomi, indigenous from mainland Mexico. A successful Tenango of exquisitely blended colors requires the work of a team in order to create a colorfully amazing design.
Looking to this as inspiration, Chef Liana chose the name Tenangos to represent her restaurant and colorfully dance across the covers of its menus. Like its name suggests, the tasty restaurant has the perfect blend of elements to deliver a flawless experience for its guests. The combination of its staff who works as a team, its use of fresh and local ingredients and the majestic Cabo views all add up to superb service, deliciously authentic cuisine and a relaxed atmosphere.
Along with having all the ingredients for a perfectly executed restaurant, Tenangos’ menu is constantly changing to offer guests multiple heavenly meals. Chef Liana updates the menu every three months and uses local ingredients and her year-long travels through Mexico as the driving inspiration behind each change. Joining forces daily with her staff and fresh ingredients, Chef Liana aims to put Cabo on the map for world-renowned cuisine.
Tenangos serves crave-worthy Mexican dishes amid mesmerizing views of Palmilla Golf Club and the Sea of Cortez for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
