One&Only Palmilla in San Jose del Cabo is celebrating Memorial Day weekend with a lineup of activities that include everything from tequila tastings and culinary creations to an art fair and more.
Cuisine
The long weekend kicks off on May 23 at SEARED with a Château Palmer Dinner from 7 to 10 p.m. Château Palmer is one of only 14 Troisièmes Crus (Third Growths) in the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. A special gourmet menu will highlight a stellar lineup of vintages from Château Palmer.
Dig into the flavors of Mexico during Mexico Mágico on May 24 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Breeze. An assortment of stations will serve up regional specials with a twist while a live traditional Mariachi performance will provide the soundtrack for the night. Reservations recommended.
The highlight of the weekend is the Baja BBQ at Agua on May 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. Guests will be able to dig into a gourmet feast of the Baja’s best barbecue, delicious crudo stations plus salads and Mexican desserts.
Chef Diego will whip up an exclusive dinner showcasing A Taste of Italy in Baja on May 26 at the Herb Garden. Two seatings will be available at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. and will feature a spread of Italian antipasti, hand-tossed pizzas, a special selection of wines and more. Limited to 10 guests per seating. Reservations encouraged.
Libations
The resort’s Head Mixologist Philippe Zaigue will be pouring up a unique sampling of tequilas during the Clase Azul Tequila Tasting on May 24. Mexico’s premier label is created by artisans, with each bottle handmade. Sip the brand’s best mezcal and tequilas while watching the sun set. Three seatings are available at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
For creative cocktails, Agua Bar will host Philippe & Friends on May 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. Head Mixologist Philippe Zaigue and resident Mixologists Francisco Oropeza and Abdul Martinez will take guests on a tour of Mexico through custom cocktail creations.
Art
Visit the Hacienda on May 24 for a complimentary Summer Art Series. The evening will feature art and music from 6 to 9 p.m. Local artists’ works will be on display including hand-crafted paintings, sculptures and other creations, all available to take home as a memento of your time at One&Only.
