On March 17, the sixth edition of Gala de Danza will take place at the architecturally stunning Mar Adentro hotel in San Jose del Cabo on a custom-built stage specifically for the event. The stage will seamlessly join together the horizon with the mirror pools of the resort and will be viewable from hotel suites and VIP water lounges, making for a truly unique experience.
The gala, founded by Christina Lyon, showcases some of the best artistry from world-renowned dancers, musicians and choreographers from across 20 different countries. In addition to bringing together such great talent, the gala also provides full dance scholarships to children. Past collaborations have included Derek Hough (Emmy Award Winning choreographer, Dancing With the Stars), Sammy Hagar (Grammy Award Winner & Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Legend), Josie Walsh (Artistic Director of BalletRED and Joffrey Ballet School Los Angeles & San Francisco), Misty Copeland (principal with American Ballet Theatre), Ekaterina Kondaurova (principal with Mariinsky Ballet), Daniel Ulbricht (principal with New York City Ballet), Yulia Zagoruychenko & Ricardo Cocchi (Six-Time World Latin Ballroom Champions) and Youth America Grand Prix finalists, among many more.
Designed by famed Mexican architect, Miguel Angel Aragonés, Mar Adentro is an aesthetically pleasing space unlike any other hotel.
