The District mx Eat + Drink is a stylish and edgy eatery in San Jose del Cabo and one of the only premium quality sports and entertainment restaurant and lounges in town—not to mention it also boasts the largest bar in Baja California Sur. Come to watch sporting events from around the world, groove to beats from the in-house DJ, or simply take in the casual atmosphere. Cozy up in the restaurant’s booths, turn the party up in the VIP area or kick back on the sun deck because there’s not a bad seat in the house.
Along with a killer atmosphere and stunning interiors, the menu is also eye-catching. District’s delicious cuisine is led by Executive Chef Kris Kabush who has many years of culinary experience. Kabush was born and raised in Vancouver and spent his time at the top kitchens, under the top chefs in Canada. During his last year of high school, he began his apprenticeship in the top kitchen in the country under Canada’s highest placing chef at the Bocuse Dór Competition. Now, he’s brought his skills to Cabo where he sources the best regional ingredients to create a premium, casual North American-inspired menu with worldly flavors. The menu features traditional eats like burgers, tacos and steaks along with surprising dishes like cheddar and scallion perogies, truffle spaghetti and meatballs, and butternut squash ravioli with prawns complete with truffle butter sauce, hazelnut crumble and fried sage—hello delicious.
When thirst strikes, turn to District’s beverage menu where a variety of cocktails will entice you with names like Love Hurts Margarita, Morphine Kick and Martini Tacos Al Pastor, the latter of which is a mix of Vodka, Cointreau, grilled pineapple, cilantro, sugar and fresh lemon juice—yum! The bar also has a wide variety of wine and local, international and craft beer. Make sure to stop by for bottomless bubbles on special Mimosa Days and Unique Caesar/Bloody Mary kart where you can customize your glass to perfection.
