Considering a stay at an all-inclusive resort on your next getaway but not sure where to begin? Here’s some tips and tricks on how to take full advantage of luxury overload and what to expect when you arrive.
1. Research the Resort
Before you jet off on your much-needed vacation, spend some time doing research on what the resort has to offer. Often times, in addition to food and beverages being included, activities and excursions are as well. Figure out what is available before you venture off-site to rent some surfboards, only to find your resort has plenty available. This will not only save you money, but time as well.
2. Put Your Name Down
When food and drinks are included you won’t be the only one vying for a spot at the mouth-watering restaurant on-site. Make sure to make a reservation at the nicer, non-buffet restaurants to ensure you get a seat and a chance to try all the cuisine offerings available.
3. Dial for Room Service
Laying in bed with a bottle of wine while digging into your prime steak is what the luxe life is all about. As much as you visit the restaurants, take advantage of the convenient room service as well. Waking up to a hot breakfast of chilaquiles and dozing off to a slice of chocolate cake is sometimes all we really need on vacation. So stay in your pajamas and order one of everything—because you can.
4. Make Friends With the Concierge
The concierge at all-inclusive resorts should become your best friend. When trying to figure out the best way to take advantage of everything offered, ask them. They can often share tips like when the least crowded yoga class is or the best way to shuttle yourself around town.
5. Sprawl Out
All-inclusive resorts, though pricy at times, offer a truly relaxing vacation. Not having to pull the credit card out throughout your trip can be a relieving experience. Because let’s face it, the worst part of dinner is when the check comes. Fork it out at the beginning and then live like a king. Trust us, it’s worth it.
