As one of the most popular resort destinations in all of Mexico, Cancun will soon add yet another five-star luxury hotel to its incredible hospitality roster.
Slated to open in November 2022, the Waldorf Astoria Cancun will be a new beachfront oasis set on 100 acres of secluded Caribbean coastline that’s also a convenient 15-minute car ride from Cancun International Airport.
Most notably, every guest room and suite among the Waldorf Astoria Cancun’s 173-key rooms will feature breathtaking ocean views and a private balcony with a plunge pool.
Renowned design firms SB Architects, EDSA and HBA intentionally created a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor spaces by incorporating natural elements from the surrounding area as well as classic Mexican colors and materials.
The signature Waldorf Astoria spa will integrate Mexican healing traditions with native ingredients for indulgent treatments across a total of 21 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, a sauna, salon, steam room and ice fountain, in addition to a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Five on-site restaurants will include Malpeque (fine dining), Chaya (international and Mexican), Ja’o (poolside dining with specialty drinks), Peacock Alley (Waldorf Astoria’s signature lounge and bar) and a pool bar.
Outside of the resort, guests can visit Xcaret and Xplor Park for outdoor adventures, such as zip lining, rafting, snorkeling and tours through caves and underground rivers, or take a day trip to Isla Mujeres, known for its beaches, snorkeling and scuba diving.
Waldorf Astoria Cancun is now accepting bookings for stays from November 1, 2022 onward.
