Todos Santos, Baja California Sur has just become a tourist destination with a boom in real estate development since not only is it one of the most beautiful places in all of Mexico, it also preserves its pleasant essence and fresh atmosphere that allows all who come to this magical place to be able to enjoy on vacation or for long periods of time a place to which more incredible proposals arrive every day and which has an extremely promising future. We spoke with Deborah Wallendorf from The Wallendorf Collection, who is dedicated to the real estate sector and has all the knowledge and fascinating property options for all those interested in being part of Todos Santos.
“After the Spanish conquistadores discovered the Mexican mainland early in the 16th century, they began searching westward for an island filled with gold. Fast forward, nearly 500 years later, tourists flock to Los Cabos seeking liquid gold, deep sea fishing, surfing, golfing, five star resorts and fine dining. Those desiring an alternative to the touristic scene find their way one hour north to Todos Santos and the Pacific north which affords the best micro-climate in Baja, a green oasis in the desert, organic fields, vast empty beaches, a vibrant art and dining scene and eco-friendly accommodations.
Todos Santos is experiencing an unprecedented boom in tourism and real estate. Rancho Pescadero will be opening in 2022 under the Hyatt umbrella with 108 rooms; Habitas, led by Oliver Ripley, will be creating an eco-friendly 3D printed 80 room hotel after its successes in Tulum and Namibia. Paradero Hotels has sprung 32 rooms from the organic basil fields between Todos Santos and Pescadero. Chef Javier Plasencia has opened two new venues and other top chefs are sniffing around to take advantage of the organic bounty that the fertile fields and prolific Pacific provide.
The real estate boom in the area has been driven, in part, by the new trend in working remotely; the ability to live in an almost year-round perfect climate; the low cost of owning real estate, relative to the USA, and having the amenities one needs to live a very comfortable lifestyle. While Los Cabos is virtually over-developed, Todos Santos and environs still remain pristine with wide open spaces ensconced in nature between the Pacific and the Sierra la Laguna mountain range.
The Wallendorf Collection was created two years ago as the area’s only all-luxury brokerage specializing in a curated portfolio of single-family homes, as well as a professional resource to eco-friendly developers and hoteliers. We are not only passionate about preserving the environment but have a depth of knowledge unsurpassed when navigating real estate matters in Southern Baja for the luxury buyer. We don’t sell property, rather we help discerning buyers discover their investment and lifestyle.”
Here are some of the spectacular properties that The Wallendorf Collection is featuring. Either a spectacular residence with pristine oceanside land, a 6 acre huerta or an oceanfront estate, Deborah can guide you to discover what you’ve been dreaming of.
