Last weekend was one of the most active ones in the design world of Mexico City. There were several events that brought together the best of the Mexican and Latin American design scene. One of these was Atalaya Design Fair, an itinerant fair that gathers more than 70 exhibitors, each time in different venues across the city. This was its second edition that aimed to bring buyers, distributors and media together so that they can interact effectively and be able to benefit from each other. Its objective is to work as a platform and as a bonding agent for and by the people.
Atalaya is a design fair that has the purpose of commercializing and expanding the market of the Mexican and Latin American creative industry. Its philosophy is to celebrate craft processes and generate large-scale business opportunities for designers. It is a space where you can mingle with recognized brands and their designers and be able to establish links of purchases on a larger scale. This benefits everyone involved and continues generating a design platform that can position Mexican and Latin American design where it belongs. Atalaya is another project from Promotora MX, creators of La LonjaMX and PUM.
