During the 1930’s, Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo created two spaces that today we adore: The Museo Anahuacalli and The Blue House. The Anahuacalli Museum contains more than 50,000 prehispanic pieces that the master muralist collected throughout his life. This museum was under construction when he died, so his daughter Ruth Rivera and the Arq. Juan O’Gorman took over to complete it with the details just as Diego has planned. The Museum completed its construction in 1963 and opened its doors to the public in 1964. Since then, you can enjoy a unique space within the city and an absolutely exciting visit.
