Title: Chairman and CEO of Discovery Land Company
Occupation: I develop private, residential resort club communities all over the world
Age: 57
Married/Single: Attached
City you were born in: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
City you live in: Scottsdale, Arizona
What brought you to Los Cabos: I visited Cabo many years ago for a vacation. I loved it so much I have been coming ever since. The strong connection I feel with the area definitely influenced my decision to find the most beautiful piece of land and work with local partners to build one of the best clubs anywhere, El Dorado Golf & Beach Club
Your favorite place to go in Los Cabos: I have so many ‘favorites’ so it’s hard to choose but I love the Palapa Bar at El Dorado. A must visit for me is Buzzard’s on the East Cape and whenever I’m in town, I make sure to stop by the Nowhere Bar for a good time with family and friends
Your three favorite spots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner: My favorite spot for breakfast is the patio of my house at El Dorado, which overlooks the Sea of Cortez. It’s breathtaking and a great way to start the day. For lunch I would have to say my favorite spot is the Taco Bar on the 9th hole of the golf course. And when I manage to leave El Dorado, Nick-San is my favorite spot for dinner for great fresh, local seafood
Your most treasured possession: Easy—my three boys: Hunter, Will and Max
Something nobody knows about you: I have been and always will be a Deadhead
Favorite hour of the day: Sunset on the golf course at El Dorado drinking Casamigos tequila
Last thing you bought: Baccarat shot glasses to drink Casamigos tequila from—I just have to remind my friends not to throw them against the wall like they do with the ice shots at El Dorado
Last memory you made: My annual Casamigos Halloween party with 1,500 of my closest friends
Your first job: I was a courtesy clerk (grocery bagger) at Lucky’s in Phoenix
If you could change one thing about yourself, it would be: I would be fast and good enough to be a wide receiver for the New England Patriots catching passes from my friend Tom Brady
Your future plans/next business venture: I’m going to keep my ‘day job’ and continue to develop spectacular properties, but I love working with my partners on my tequila company, Casamigos. I am also working on a hydration product, a new drink called Recover 180
Your life motto: Stick to your knitting
Your vision for the future of Los Cabos: That it continues to grow into a world-class resort destination unparalleled by any other in the world
