United Airlines brings New Yorkers closer to one of their favorite Caribbean escapes with new nonstop service to Tulum this December.

Now, getting there gets easier
Beginning December 19, 2026, United Airlines is scheduled to connect Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) directly with Tulum International Airport (TQO)—putting Tulum approximately four and a half hours from the New York metropolitan area.

The New York route is part of a much bigger story.
As direct air service expands, Tulum is becoming increasingly connected to some of the most affluent markets in the United States, Canada, and beyond.
