Right in the middle of the forest, surrounded by fresh air, imposing trees and infinite peace, that’s where Casa MM is located, a project made up of two houses that share its essence but each one shines for its own personality. Tapalpa, Jalisco, is the setting for this pair of residences created by one of the most talented architecture firms in the country, always honest and consistent with their work, accepting challenges that take them out of their comfort zone in order to create beautiful spaces that allow the client to have quality in their life: Elías Rizo Arquitectos.
From the beginning the objective was very clear, to design two separate houses with similar spatial needs which would maintain a common language but could express their own personality, in addition to having an access conceived as an experience by itself. House A, which is located in the upper part of the land, is distinguished by its layout and by its slightly angular geometry; its program is distributed around an open patio and all the bedrooms contain a loft with additional beds. House B broadly shares the spatial distribution of its pair but exhibits a linear layout on its floor, so that all spaces open onto the forest outside the property; unlike house A, all bedrooms are displaced only in one level.
Although the architectural and structural work is fascinating, the interior design is not far behind, since it managed to merge the interior with the exterior in a single concept, thanks to the use of natural materials with a color range that allows all of the elements to merge with each other and with nature. Kárima Dipp was the creative in charge of putting the final touch on Casa MM, a project that we are sure has exceeded the expectations of the clients, who surely made of these spectacular homes their favorite place.
