The Latest Status on Hotels and Resorts in Mexico

Many hotels and resorts throughout Mexico remain open and safe, implementing added sanitization and cleaning policies to comply with the World Health Organization. Many properties are deep cleaning and disinfecting areas on an hourly basis, adding in hand sanitizer stations, implementing social distancing policies, requiring associates to undergo daily temperature checks and more. To keep you up-to-date on the latest status of hotels around Mexico, we wanted to provide updates on closures and restrictions at some of our commonly covered hotels and outlets. Make sure to visit individual hotel sites for the most up-to-date info. And remember, don’t cancel, just postpone dates to help tourism out!

Los Cabos

All non-essential businesses, including restaurants, hotels, public beaches, gyms and bars will be closed through June 15. Click here to read more about travel to Los Cabos.

Nobu Hotel Los Cabos is temporarily closed through June 30 and plans to reopen July 1. Read more here.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is currently not accepting guests for a short period and are planning for a June 22 reopening. Read more here.

JW Marriott Los Cabos is currently temporarily closed and will reopen again as soon as possible.

For precautionary measures, Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen has temporarily suspended normal operations and is not currently accepting room, restaurant, bar, or other reservations until July 1. Read more here.

All AM Resorts throughout Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cancun and the Riviera Maya have temporarily closed, with reopenings scheduled to start June 15 through October 1 depending on the property. Read more here.

Puerto Vallarta & Punta de Mita

Secrets Vallarta Bay, Now Amber Puerto Vallarta, Sunscape Puerto Vallarta and Dreams Villamagna are all temporarily closed with a reopening date of June 18 through July 1, depending on the property. Read more here.
