Mexico’s Velas Resorts are hosting two culinary events this November that will bring together Michelin-starred chefs, creative cuisine and more.
The Culinary Fest of Italy at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

Italian born Chef Matteo Grandi, winner of the first season of Hell’s Kitchen Italy, will join Executive Chef Guillaume Morancé and Adrián Aguayo, head chef of the resort’s Lucca restaurant, for a weekend of Italian cuisine. Grandi most recently received his first Michelin star this year, having previously spent time at various Park Hyatt hotels in Shanghai, Kuwait and India before returning to Italy. Morancé has spent time in places like Paris, New York, Saint Petersburg and Moscow at some of the best hotels and restaurants while Aguayo comes from the Yucatan Peninsula and was recently at Piaf at Grand Velas Riviera Maya.
The Grand Chef Stars at Grand Velas Los Cabos

Two Michelin Star chefs will team up for a four-hands dinner of amazing cuisine. Two Michelin Star Chef Sidney Schutte of Grand Velas Los Cabos’ Cocina de Autor and Chef Fabrice Vulin will join forces to serve a collaborative nine-course dinner of contemporary dishes. Vulin is currently the executive chef at Macau’s Tasting Room and has extensive experience working and leading some of the world’s best restaurants in France, Switzerland, Morocco and Hong Kong. Schutte has worked in prestigious kitchen throughout Europe and Asia and was even recognized as SVH Meesterkok, the highest recognition a chef can achieve in the Netherlands. He’s worked under acclaimed chefs and his passion for travel and time spent in Asia has contributed to his unique and varied dishes.
