This stunning home is far from boring. The home was inspired by its oceanfront setting and some of the client’s favorite places around the world including Tulum, St. Barts, Ibiza and Mykonos. The clients, who had always dreamed of having a home designed by Ricardo Legorreta’s son and successor Victor and their firm Legorreta, tapped him and designer friend Ken Fulk to create the space, along with project architect Marcela Cortina Rodriguez.
The result is a low-slung home that takes its time to reveal its true magnificence. The highlight is the stunning panoramic view of the Sea of Cortez from the double-height living room. The infinity-edge pool was even colored just-so to perfectly match the hue of the water, creating a truly never ending visual. A central area of the home is lined with palm trees and water features throughout give the sense of a floating island.
Throughout the home, special mind was paid to the colors, textures and patterns to create a calm, yet glam environment reflective of the desert surroundings. Finishes include whitewashed wide-plank wood, pale stone floors, creamy plaster walls and light wood doors and shutter.
