This April, the skies of Cancun will be filled with 20 colorful hot air balloons as Volando el Paraiso: Festival del Globo (Flying the Paradise, Balloon Festival) takes flight for the first time.
The multi-day event will be hosted by the Pok Ta Pok Golf Club April 19-21.
Depending on weather, there will also be anchored or captive flights, when balloons rise off the ground without going on a flight.
The event will be 500 pesos (roughly $26) for foreign tourists and 300 pesos for residents of Quintana Roo.
