Located on sunny Soliman Bay, Jashita is an eco-friendly boutique hotel with lavish accommodations and surreal surroundings. Built in 2010 by Italian hotelier Tommaso Marchiorello, the hotel recently completed a major makeover complete with a new penthouse for $12,000 per night. The Jasmine Penthouse, as it’s called, is a two-story penthouse with a private swimming pool and bartender. It also has an adjoining pool/bar terrace with an 8-by-4-meter glass infinity-edged pool that is accessible to all guests, however it can also be rented with the penthouse, complete with or without its own private bartender. Additional accommodations at the hotel include garden view bedrooms, waterfront suites and beachfront suites.
The hotel also features an additional adults-only infinity-edged swimming pool; a children’s swimming pool; a restaurant serving up a combo of Italian, Mexican and international cuisine; a tree-top spa; and an adventure shack.
The hotel’s interiors were designed by Tommaso’s father’s wife Monika Pardeller and his sister Allegra’s popular Once Milano boutique has a pop-up store in the lobby and its linens are used throughout the hotel.
Jashita has no fitness room, no telephones in the rooms and room service is limited to top-floor guests and honeymooners. These unique features encourage guests to step outside and explore Tulum’s beautiful offerings, from exotic birds to adventurous water activities and tours of nearby ruins.
