Greg Norman Real Estate and Solmar Group recently announced plans to develop a branded residential enclave and oceanfront golf course in the brand new development of Rancho San Lucas in Los Cabos. Located 15 minutes from downtown Cabo San Lucas, the 834-acre community will boast two new resorts, a branded residential enclave, an oceanfront golf course and 1.2 miles of Pacific Coast beachfront.
Greg Norman Real Estate in partnership with Solmar Group will develop the branded residential enclave, Norman Estates at Rancho San Lucas which will include 32 luxury estate homes and 36 condominiums, all set in a private, gated enclave. Each residence will feature panoramic views of the Pacific and owners will have access to an exclusive, private beach club. Indoor-outdoor living spaces will highlight the coastal-hacienda style homes while the rest of the development will include a village with shopping, dining and entertainment; an expansive community park with a lake, biking and hiking trails and family picnic areas; a tennis center and more. Norman Estates will be the first community in Mexico to join Greg Norman’s growing global collection of Norman Residences.
“Partnering with Solmar Group—a pioneering company in the hospitality industry in Los Cabos with a 30-year track record of delivering impeccable properties—was an easy decision for me when selecting where to bring my brand,” said Norman. “Having traveled all over the globe, I can say with conviction that Norman Estates at Rancho San Lucas is unlike anywhere else in the world and will undoubtedly raise the benchmark for beachfront living in Los Cabos.”
In addition to the luxury residences, the development will be home to two new Solmar resorts, Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort and Grand Solmar the Residences at Rancho San Lucas. The two resorts will add to the brand’s existing collection of five properties, most notably the award-winning Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas, which Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas will be modeled after. Slated for a December 20 opening, Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas will feature a contemporary Baja lifestyle-vibe with coastal palettes, hand-chiseled stone and intricate ceramic designs. Chief Architect, Hector Zertuche described the project as “the heart of today’s Mexico.”
“We are delighted to be part of Rancho San Lucas’ initial phase and look forward to continue to grow the brand’s presence in the region,” said Ricardo Orozco, vice president of operations. “This will be the continuation of the Solmar Legacy, which has remained a key player in Los Cabos tourism since the late 60’s,” he added.
The resort will also include Solmar’s signature range of deluxe amenities including full kitchens with marble counters, private terraces, separate seating areas and ceramic-tiled baths, some offering ocean views. Resort amenities include a salt water lagoon, a mini salt water park with slides and pools for children, a beauty salon, a spa, a fitness center, a two-story fine dining restaurant, a mini market and infinity edged-pools with swim-up bars.
Guests will also have access to Residences at Rancho San Lucas, the second resort which will be complete with two-, three- and four-bedroom penthouse-style suites. The Residences’ amenities will include a private beach and cabanas, an outdoor infinity-edged pool, a swim-up bar and a holistic spa.
Topping off the development is the 18-hole, Greg Norman-designed Rancho San Lucas Golf Course which will be located oceanfront with a slated opening of fall 2018.
