Architecture is one of many ways to reflect the vision and culture of a country, and Mexico is no exception, with its thousands of talented architects and designers that make each project a piece of art from thought, planned and converted into reality. Hector Coss Arquitectos is one of the firms that really catch our attention for the consistency in their work. They are adept at understanding the context of each project and then converting the spaces into a very special place. This time we will talk specifically about LT, a project that started with the freedom to design in an open floor-plan with spectacular views of the golf course of Bosques de Santa Fe in Mexico City.
The homeowner’s requests for this apartment were—in addition to 3 bedrooms, family room, private study, kitchen overlooking the field and service area—that 90% of the woodwork and finishes should be made with renewable and certified teak wood. The proposal by Hector Coss Arquitectos was a cozy and modern design with simple lines and tailored elements to meet the customer’s needs, and give them a place of rest and harmony. As seen in the photos, LT is a place that integrates simple with elegance, and comfort with modernity. One of the most interesting spaces in this apartment is the underpass studio, which is 50 centimeters above the finished floor in the main room. Another great aspect of this apartment is that you can enjoy breathtaking and relaxing outdoor views from the kitchen whether it’s opened or closed—something that certainly makes it very special. The interior design was also created by Hector Coss Arquitectos along with the homeowner, who endorsed the space with help from the experts. Once again it is apparent that Mexican talent is on par with any world metropolis, and those who are lucky can appreciate it from inside their homes.
